Over the last several years, I have shifted my attention from video production to still photography. I find that my work in this medium is often infused with a sense of motion derived from my film background.
With the Milkweed series, I sought to capture and enhance the graceful moments when the seeds and silk are bursting from the plant’s pods, releasing themselves into the fall breezes.
My Frostscapes capture the growth and flow of ice crystals on windows. The result is the creation of new and magical ‘landscapes’. The dynamics of these fanciful shapes and tones evokes scenes of gardens, mountain ranges, coral reefs, or forests.
My focus is on the infinite range of patterns, shapes, tones and colors found in nature.
